The new AKG C 544 L headset from AKG is characterized by robustness, extremely easy handling and a particularly favorable price / performance ratio.
The AKG C 544 L headset consists of a miniature condenser microphone that is worn on the head with a neckband. The microphone has a cardioid directional characteristic and therefore preferably picks up sound from the front (from the mouth).
The microphone housing with the condenser converter is connected to the microphone arm via an elastic mounting in order to suppress cable noise and structure-borne noise. The microphone boom positions the microphone to the side in front of the mouth. This largely avoids popping noises with the AKG C 5544 L headset and protects the microphone from contamination.
The supplied windshield suppresses wind and pop noises. A special drip ring on the microphone capsule of the AKG C 554 L headset makes it difficult for sweat and make-up to penetrate the capsule area. This prevents the microphone's speaking slots from becoming clogged with sweat or make-up, which would lead to a dull sound and lower sensitivity of the microphone.
