Tenor Saxphone Mouthpiece Navarro Bop Boy Marble
The Bob Mintzer Bop Boy in Rubber:
Taking from the fatness of the Bebop Special, the Bop Boy offers a faster execution and brilliant altisimo when comparing to the Bebop Special, while still having a great core and fantastic quality of sound. This mouthpiece is probably the biggest sounding rubber piece in existence.
Think of an Otto Link- Guardala combination. The Bop Boy has it all. It cuts like metal while having the warmth and body of a rubber mouthpiece.
The German Marble rubber is a mix of two rubber compounds. One being the black traditional compound mixed with colors and the second part is a traditional black hr. The colored one is a compound of its own which is done by adding colors in when manufacturing the compound. Both black and red compound in this instance are mixed through an extruder which results in a fantastic wood alike shape. Then the rod is cured normally on an autoclave to give the same hardness as the regular black hr rods. The mix of tints makes this rubber into a particular medium bright sound. It is definitely clearer sounding than black HR.
