J. Meinlschmidt JM007 Slide Gel 7 – Synthetic is a synthetic gel lubricant for brass instrument tuning slides. It is primarily intended for stationary slides that require long-lasting lubrication, reliable sealing and protection against sticking.
Features and benefits
Its adhesive properties help the gel remain on the mating metal surfaces and maintain an effective seal. It does not resinify or form lumps, protects against wear and corrosion, and is odourless.
Instrument compatibility
JM007 is suitable for tuning slides on trumpets, cornets, French horns, trombones, euphoniums, tubas and other brass instruments. It is particularly useful for slides moved mainly during tuning or maintenance.
For frequently operated compensating slides, Meinlschmidt offers JM005 Slide Oil. The range also includes the thicker JM008 Slide Grease for tuning-slide lubrication.

Application and care
Remove the tuning slide and clean away dirt and old lubricant. Apply a thin, even layer of JM007 to the inner slide tubes, reinstall the slide and move it gently several times to distribute the gel. Wipe away any excess.
Important: JM007 is intended for tuning slides, not for direct lubrication of piston or rotary valves. Keep out of reach of children and follow the product label.
