Audix D2 Dynamic microphone
Audix D2 microphone, dynamic, hypercardioid
The Audix D2 is a dynamic instrument microphone for live and broadcast applications. It is equipped with a hypercardioid characteristic that effectively isolates unwanted background noises on stage and has a patented VLM membrane for natural and accurate sound reproduction.
The D2 is a lightweight and very compact microphone that can be quickly and easily positioned on the instrument. With an extended frequency response of 80 Hz to 18 kHz and the ability to process high sound pressures of up to 144 dB without distortion, this microphone is the first choice when it comes to recording percussive instruments such as e.g. Rack toms, congas, saxophones, electric guitar amps or brass instruments are all possible.
The high-quality metal die-cast housing with zinc alloy is equipped with a sturdy steel basket that effectively protects the capsule behind. This high mechanical level guarantees a low probability of failure and a very long service life.
