**Augustine Classical Guitar Strings – Classic Label – Made in USA**

Augustine produces four different series of classical guitar strings.

The well-known Classic sets (Black, Gold, Red, and Blue) feature identical nylon treble strings in normal tension. The difference lies in the tension of the wound bass strings:

* Black = low tension

* Gold = medium tension with brass-plated copper winding

* Red = medium tension

* Blue = high tension

This system applies to all series.

All “Gold”-label strings have a golden-colored bass winding made of brass-plated copper with medium-low tension.

**Classic Black (normal/medium):**

* Classic nylon trebles in normal tension

* Silver-plated classic basses in low tension

**Gauge and Tension:**

* E1 normal: .028” / 0.71 mm – 7.81 kg / 17.21 lbs

* B2 normal: .032” / 0.81 mm – 5.84 kg / 12.88 lbs

* G3 normal: .040” / 1.01 mm – 5.56 kg / 12.25 lbs

* D4 high: .0305” / 0.77 mm – 7.44 kg / 16.41 lbs
