Bach Classic+ Valve Oil, 47 ml is a genuine Vincent Bach medium-viscosity lubricant for piston (Perinet) valves in brass instruments. Developed for regular valve maintenance and smooth, consistent piston operation.
Features and benefits
The oil reduces friction between the piston and valve casing, promotes smooth action and helps minimise wear on contacting metal surfaces.
According to the manufacturer, Classic+ Valve Oil is petroleum-based and has a viscosity of 3.42 cSt. The bottle features a convenient dispensing tip for controlled application.
Instrument compatibility
Suitable for piston valves in trumpets, cornets, flugelhorns, euphoniums, baritones, tubas and other brass instruments with Perinet valves.
Its medium viscosity makes Bach Classic+ a practical choice for everyday maintenance of many piston valve mechanisms. Extremely close-fitting or significantly worn valves may benefit from oils with different viscosities.
Classic+ versus Synthetic+
Bach Classic+ is a medium-viscosity, petroleum-based valve oil. Bach Synthetic+ is a separate range of synthetic lubricants, including specialised piston and rotary valve oils.

Application and maintenance
Withdraw the piston as permitted by the instrument design, apply a few drops to the clean working surface and carefully reinstall it. Operate the valve several times to distribute the oil. Ensure the piston guide is correctly aligned.
Important: intended for piston valves, not tuning slides or rotary valve mechanisms. Clean the valves before switching between different lubricant types. Keep away from children and follow the product label and safety data sheet.
