The most popular Long Scale fits violas sized 16–16 1/2 inches and comes in three different tensions: medium, heavy, and light.
You can also purchase Medium Scale strings for smaller violas sized 15–15 3/4 inches or Extra Long Scale strings for very large violas sized 17 inches and above.
Medium and Extra Long Scale strings are only available in medium tension.
