Lupifaro Alto Evo 2 Baritone Saxophone Reeds
Lupifaro: Saxophone reeds with "vintage" character and Swiss quality. Lupifaro is a brand that has quickly gained respect among saxophonists thanks to its high-quality reeds. The key element of Lupifaro's success is the choice of raw material. Lupifaro reeds are made from the special Arundo Donax cane, which is grown exclusively in the South of France. The unique feature of this region is its microclimate, which contributes to the plant's extraordinary flexibility, which, in turn, ensures the unique timbre and stability of the finished product. The cane undergoes strict manual selection. The manufacturer emphasizes that quality control is very stringent. Some reed series, such as Lupifaro EVO, are produced in collaboration with the famous company Rigotti, which serves as an additional sign of quality and craftsmanship in cane processing.
Lupifaro Baritone Evo Reeds
Lupifaro Baritone Evo Reeds are an evolution of Lupifaro's previous Lupifaro Baritone Jazz. Lupifaro modified the cut in order to obtain even more vintage sounds and a feeling closer to old-school reeds.
To obtain this new cut, the milling machines' settings were pushed to their technical limits, and some reeds may present an irregular cut on the back (more square rather than "U" shaped like classic unfiled cuts). This unusual aesthetic difference does not affect the sound quality in any way and shall not be considered a defect. The cane used is a natural raw material and is never perfectly regular in shape.
Lupifaro Baritone Evo Reeds give an unparalleled steady and balanced response throughout the whole registry, keeping the sound full and compact. These reeds are hand selected, and the quality check is as strict as it has always been.
