The smartLav + can be attached like a conventional clip-on microphone and connected to a smartphone in the vest pocket, etc. We recommend the “RØDE Rec” app for iOS devices for recording. With its omnidirectional characteristic, the smartLav + guarantees professional results even if it slips in the heat of the moment. A draft shield to absorb gusts of wind and explosive sounds (“B”, “T” ”and“ P ”) and a robust clip with cable routing are included in the scope of delivery. The Kevlar® reinforced cable prevents damage that can occur when the cable is squeezed or bent. The smartLav + can be used with any audio app that can record the signals present at the headphone socket. However, for maximum ease of use, we recommend the “RØDE Rec” app for Apple iOS devices. “RØDE Rec” transforms an iOS device into a flexible field recorder and offers numerous tone control settings, professional editing functions and the possibility of direct publication under SoundCloud and Dropbox.
