The pads fit generally the instrument radiuses, so they can be used in any position and combined with the single screw clamps. 9 clamps will work to close the entire instrument, leaving only 18 quick-action nuts to be tightened.

Quick action due to 3.5 mm pitch of the wooden thread, boxwood. The thread is hidden in the nut, avoiding its exposition to glue and contact with the softer parts of the instrument. The pads are protected with 1 mm thick natural cork washers.
