YBRATO ReedReflector Titanium is a professional titanium ligature for alto saxophone featuring a steel reflector. Developed and manufactured in Germany, its precision-engineered construction combines secure reed positioning with a finely adjustable clamping mechanism.
Sound and playing characteristics
A ligature holds the reed against the saxophone mouthpiece and influences the conditions under which it vibrates. The ReedReflector design aims to reduce the contact area without compromising secure reed positioning.
The solid steel reflector contacts the reed through two longitudinal rails. According to YBRATO, this design supports responsive articulation, an overtone-rich sound and effective projection.
Actual playing results depend on the combination of mouthpiece, reed, instrument and playing technique.
Key feature: a titanium body combined with a precision CNC-milled steel reflector. Two longitudinal contact rails provide secure reed positioning while reducing the contact area.
Titanium construction and steel reflector
Titanium offers high strength, corrosion resistance and relatively low density. Its use provides a durable construction with distinctive mechanical properties.
The steel reflector is manufactured using precision CNC machining. Positioned on the reed side, it contacts the reed through two longitudinal supporting rails.
The tightening mechanism incorporates left-hand and right-hand threads for even clamping and accurate centering on the mouthpiece. An ergonomically knurled adjustment screw allows convenient control of the clamping force.
The ligature is manufactured and hand-assembled in Germany.
